The Pittsburgh Steelers are still trying to work things out with star running back Le'Veon Bell in terms of his long-term future with the team. Bell was franchise tagged for the second straight year and now it appears he may be going through the same situation with Pittsburgh not wanting to meet his number and that could carry over to training camp.

In the event no new long-term deal is agreed to by the deadline on July 16, Bell is expected to skip training camp in two months time, according to Joe Rutter of TribLIVE.

If Bell plays under terms of the franchise tag, don't expect to see him until the first week of September, giving other players the chance to get first-team reps in training camp. At stake is a $14.55 million tender, which is about the same amount of money Bell is requesting yearly in a long-term contract. If a deal isn't reached by July 16, Bell won't be anywhere near Saint Vincent in July and August.

As arguably the best all-around running back in the NFL today, Bell is crucial to the team's offense firing on all cylinders. The Steelers are one of the intimidating teams in the NFL on the offensive side of the football with Bell, Antonio Brown, and Ben Roethlisberger leading the way, but that could change if Bell's contract talks break down for the second straight year and lead to his departure after the upcoming season.

Last season, Bell tied a career-high with 11 total touchdowns. The 26-year-old rushed for 1,291 yards on a career-best 321 carries while also being a force as a receiver once again with 85 catches for 655 yards.
