After 21 years of playing at Heinz Field, the Pittsburgh Steelers' stadium is set for a name change. The ketchup giants will no longer sponsor the Steelers, putting an end to the two-plus decade naming rights deal, according to Andrew Fillipponi, who has now revealed the new name of the stadium, which is set to be called Acrisure Stadium.
Breaking: The ketchup bottles are coming down. Heinz Field will be renamed Acrisure Stadium. After the Michigan-based insurance brokerage firm. An official announcement could come as soon as Tuesday.

The name stems from the Michigan-based insurance brokerage firm, Acrisure. The connection to Pittsburgh is unclear, but we're sure Steelers fans will not be too pleased about the new name of their stadium.
Heinz Field initially opened in 2001 and has been the Steelers' home ever since.
Art Rooney said as recently as February that the Steelers were hoping to renew their deal with Heinz, but it seems the two sides failed to reach an agreement, prompting the rather uninspired name change. The Steelers and Heinz had agreed upon a one-year extension for the 2021 season, but couldn't agree on a long-term deal.
There are a lot of changes coming to Pittsburgh this offseason, but perhaps none more significant than the new stadium name. With Ben Roethlisberger retired, this Steelers team will look a lot different in 2022, and now they'll be playing in a newly-branded stadium.
Early reactions from fans haven't been great, with many claiming they fully intend to continue calling the stadium Heinz Field, rather than Acrisure Stadium.

While Heinz Field is no longer, it seems the stadium name will live on through Steelers fans, who are apparently very opposed to renaming their stadium after a Michigan-based insurance company.
