Prior to making his way to the sideline and ultimately the locker room, McDonald posted just a single reception for three yards against the Cardinals. Despite his absence and lack of production when on the field in Week 14, McDonald and the Steelers still managed to come away with yet another win as Pittsburgh defeated the lowly Cardinals by the score of 23-17 on the road.
After starting the season at a disappointing 1-4, the Steelers season appeared to be over before it even got going. Even after a slew of injuries to key players such at veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and running back James Conner, the Steelers have rattled off win after win en route to currently sitting in the sixth and final spot in the AFC playoff picture. Thanks to the team's latest victory, the Steelers are now an impressive 8-5 on the season.
The Steelers do have a tough road ahead as Pittsburgh will take on the dangerous Buffalo Bills and arch rival Baltimore Ravens as a result of two of the next three weeks. In between these two difficult opponents, the Steelers will battle it out with the New York Jets.
