New Orleans Saints defensive tackle David Parry has been suspended for four games by the National Football League for the player's February arrest when he was a member of the Indianapolis Colts.
For what it is worth, this doesn't really hurt the Saints in any form or fashion.
David Parry has appeared in only one game this year as a backup with New Orleans before landing on injured reserve with an ankle injury. He was not even expected to return this season.
As odd about this is that he can serve his entire suspension while on IR since it officially began before Thursday night's Week 14 game.
Basically, the defensive tackle, who is already out for the season, isn't going to miss any more games than he was already scheduled to miss. This is like being fired from a job you quit four days prior.
As for Parry, he had a good start to his career after being drafted in the fifth-round by the Colts. However, when the team cut him back in September, he only joined New Orleans as a practice squad player before being promoted to the big boy roster during Week 3.
Nevertheless, here is a mostly meaningless suspension for a guy who was already going to miss the games he can't play anyway.
