The San Francisco 49ers held onto the win on Wild Card weekend. Despite numerous brutal fourth-quarter mistakes, they held on for the 23-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Elijah Mitchell had a huge game for San Francisco, rushing for 96 yards and a touchdown. Deebo Samuel added 72 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown as well as 38 receiving yards on three catches.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan addressed the 49ers' upcoming matchup with the first-seeded Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

The Packers ended the regular season with the best record in the NFL. Aaron Rodgers has been playing MVP-caliber football and he has a great offense around him, including All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams. Green Bay also boasts a strong defense led by defensive lineman Kenny Clark and linebacker De'Vondre Campbell.

The 49ers would be up for a huge challenge regardless of the circumstances they entered the game with. Unfortunately for them, they may be without Nick Bosa and Fred Warner. Their star defenders each suffered injuries against the Cowboys. Jimmy Garoppolo, who is reportedly in his last ride with the Niners, will have to step up.

Earlier in the season, the Packers beat the 49ers by two points off of a game-winning field goal. San Francisco has shown that they can hold their own with green Bay, but the ramifications of this matchup will be much more intense than the Week 3 contest.
