The 2018 NFL Pro Bowl selections were finally revealed on Tuesday. One of the most puzzling decisions was Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers getting the nod over Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

It is no secret that Rodgers and the Packers have underwhelmed in the 2018 NFL season. Analyst Colin Cowherd was livid over Wilson's snub, via Fox Sports:

“This is an all-time snub… Aaron Rodgers made the Pro Bowl and Russell Wilson didn't.”

It is always fair to take Cowherd's criticisms with a grain of salt. He is notorious for his sudden dismissal of Rodgers as of late. However, there is certainly plenty of truth to his comments.

It is difficult to argue an area where Rodgers has been better than Wilson this season. Not only are the latter's numbers better, but it could be argued that he had much less to work with.

There was plenty of hype surrounding the Packers following a disappointing finish to their 2017 campaign. It was backed by the certainty that Rodgers would have an MVP-caliber season while leading Green Bay back to the postseason. Unfortunately, that could not be further than the truth.

Regardless, Rodgers' star power helped him secure another trip to the Pro Bowl.

Meanwhile, Wilson and the Seahawks have exceeded the expectations that were placed on them prior to this year. There were talks of a rebuild in Seattle after they had parted ways with the veteran Pro Bowl players. Despite the lack of weapons on offense, he has still managed to lead the Seahawks into playoff contention.

It should also be noted that Wilson won the head-to-head battle during the regular season.
