The Seattle Seahawks received some positive news pertaining to one of their wide receivers on Monday. David Moore will not be placed on injured reserve to begin the season, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Moore suffered a hairline fracture in his humerus and the timetable for his return was expected to put him on injured reserve. The Seahawks' wideout received a second opinion on his injury on Monday, which helped him avoid being put on injured reserve.
Moore sustained the injury during practice last week. It caused him to miss the Seahawks' previous preseason game on Saturday. The third-year wideout's timetable to return will likely be week to week; it will take time for him to recover.
Seattle picked Moore in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of East Central. Moore suited up in one game in his rookie season but gained a slightly expanded role in 2018.

Along with David Moore, Seattle has lost rookie D.K. Metcalf for an unknown period of time to injury. Last week, it was reported that Metcalf received knee surgery, but there has yet to be any details on what the surgery was for.
Nonetheless, the Hawks may be without Moore and Metcalf to begin the season. As a result, Tyler Lockett, Jaron Brown, and rookie Gary Jennings will be relied upon to hold the fort down while the other guys are on the mend.
