The Seattle Seahawks saw their 2020 campaign come to a disappointing end after they lost to the Los Angeles Rams, 30-20, in the Wildcard Round of the NFL playoffs. Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams told reporters after his team's loss that he has a torn labrum and would likely need surgery on his shoulder and broken fingers.
Per Joe Fann of NBC Sports, Jamal Adams apparently suffered the injury in their Week 17 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Aside from the injury, Adams had also been nursing two broken fingers heading into Saturday's contest.
This is certainly a disappointing way to end such a promising campaign for the Seahawks, especially for Adams. Nonetheless, the three-time Pro-Bowler gutted out the pain and fought until the end of their season.
The NFC West's Wild Card showdown featured a rugged and hard-hitting night of football, with Los Angeles coming out on top. Rams quarterback John Wolford left the game early and needed to be brought to the hospital after suffering a neck injury during a scramble play with Adams. Back-up quarterback Jared Goff came in for the injured Wolford and delivered when it mattered most with an insuring 15-yard touchdown pass to Robert Woods that pretty much sealed the win.
As for Adams, he will look forward to an offseason that will see him rehab his injured shoulder and fingers.
