As country star Keith Whitley famously sang in 1988, You say it best when you say nothing at all.” And if a letter from Seattle Seahawks president Chuck Arnold is anything to go by, not mentioning star quarterback Russell Wilson only fueled rumors that he is set to be traded.

In a report by NBC Sports, a fan posted a picture on Twitter of a letter from Arnold that was sent to Seahawks season ticket holders. Curiously, it didn't mention Wilson at all.

The letter, however, mentioned other Seahawks stars, including Jamal Adams, Jordyn Brooks, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett, as well as coaches Pete Carroll, Andy Dickerson, and Shane Waldron, and general manager John Schneider.

Despite setting several records in the last NFL campaign, including most total completions, highest completion percentage in a season, and most passing TDs in a season, Wilson still wasn't namedropped when Arnold talked up the records broken by Lockett and Metcalf.

Adding fuel to the fire, fans on Twitter have taken the line from the letter which says “Through this past year we’ve all learned it’s tough to predict what the future will hold” as another message implying that Wilson is set to leave the Seahawks after nine seasons.

Other players have also spoken about the prospect of a trade, with Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Michael Brockers telling the NFL Network's Good Morning Football that he hopes Wilson gets shipped.

Brockers joked that Russell Wilson leaving the NFC West would mean he doesn't have to chase around the former Super Bowl champion twice a year.
