Whatever you do, under zero circumstances, do not question where Ben Roethlisberger places his priorities, apparently. According to the future Hall of Fame gunslinger, he cares deeply for both football and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Big Ben does a weekly (paid) radio appearance. This week, he used the platform to go after his critics.

“In a way it’s like, ‘Wait a second, you’re going to take a shot at me and you don’t know me?'” Roethlisberger said, via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. “I’m going to go out here and bust my butt every day and be limping with bruises and put my body and my family through this and not care? You’re absolutely nuts.”

What about those people who question his desire to still play football?

“I laughed about it,” Ben Roethlisberger said. “[It’s] why is Ben still playing if he doesn’t care? If he’s not playing well, he must not care about it. It couldn’t be further from the truth. You don’t know what you’re talking about. . . .

“I’ve done this long enough, too, that I can let [criticism] roll off my back.”

Big Ben has a Twitter account, it feels like noting. It is famous not for how he uses it, but the incredible number of people who are blocked by it. While he claims he doesn't run his own account, it is funny that he says criticism doesn't bother him, yet he uses his paid platform to discuss it and his Twitter avoids it at all cost.

None of which is a big deal, obviously. Still funny, though.
