The bizarre Antonio Brown vaccination scandal may have just taken yet another unexpected twist. Brown was accused by his former live-in chef Steven Ruiz of having lied to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the NFL about his vaccination status. Ruiz proceeded to claim that Brown as well as some of his teammates had obtained fake vaccination cards in order to bypass the league's COVID-19 protocols.
According to NFL insider Jay Glazer, the latest on the saga is that the Bucs now believe that Ruiz fabricated the whole story. Per Glazer, one of the players Ruiz alleged received a fake vaccination card was actually given the COVID-19 vaccine in front of members of the Buccaneers' staff.

That certainly presents a massive hole in Ruiz's story. The Buccaneers have supported Brown and don't believe he violated any league rules, at least regarding the coronavirus vaccination policies. The aforementioned teammate was not named by Glazer in the report.

While Brown's vaccination status no longer seems to be of worry for the Buccaneers, the star wide receiver is still set to be sidelined for their Monday night showdown against the New York Giants. The wideout is dealing with an ankle injury that has kept him out of commission since Week 6. On the year, Brown has 29 receptions for 418 yards and four touchdowns.
