Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette won't be seeing action on the field as they go up against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14, per NFL Network‘s Tom Pelissero. The reason for head coach Bruce Arians' decision to not activate the veteran has not been revealed.
Leonard Fournette is a healthy scratch for the #Bucs.

The LSU product has yet to have a string of impressive performances for the Buccaneers since arriving at Western Florida back in early September. His best game for the team came in a matchup against the Carolina Panthers in Week 2 of the season where he generated 103 rushing yards on 12 carries and two rushing touchdowns.
Since then, he failed to exceed the 100 rushing yard mark again. His struggles continued in the team's most recent encounter against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13, where he was limited to only 10 rushing yards and three carries.
Meanwhile, the Bucs' resident rusher in Ronald Jones is projected to have a truckload of snaps coming his way in Week 14. He fared better than Fournette against the Chiefs after coming out with 66 yards on nine touches in the game. The former USC standout is expected to see an upswing in his numbers as he gets the spotlight shone on him for the team's rushing attack against the Vikings.
With a 7-5 record and a two-game losing skid on their hands, the Buccaneers are looking to tighten their grip on a playoff seat with a victory against the Vikings. However, the Purple and Gold are also raring for a win. Minnesota aims to extend their two-game winning streak and better their chances of securing a postseason spot in the latter stages of the season.
