It was reported this week that Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber’s playbook was stolen in Atlanta, but according to the team, the tablet that was taken has no sensitive information on it.

Speaking to ESPN’s Jenna Laine via Pro Football Talk, an official for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the playbook that was stolen from Barber this weekend was simply a tablet that was loaded with last year’s playbook and would be loaded with this year’s playbook once the season began.

According to the team official, the tablet was wiped clean remotely on Saturday, and that there wasn’t even any playbook information on it at the time, just scouting videos that the team uses.

Because of this, the team has no concern that any confidential information was leaked.

Police initially reported that a group of men broke into Barber’s Jeep Wrangler SUV around 5 am EST Saturday, outside of a high-rise in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta.

The men didn’t just steal Barber’s tablet, but also took his passport, a pair of designer sunglasses, and some articles of clothing. According to police, Barber made the discovery sometime before 10 am EST, when he noticed that his door was open and rear driver side window was damaged.

Thankfully for Barber, no one was injured in the act, and thankfully for him and the team, no sensitive information was leaked out as a result of it.

The Buccaneers will prepare to get back to work on the upcoming NFL season shortly, with the scouting combine and NFL Draft taking place in the next couple of months, and preseason training camps opening up during mid-July.
