Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass rusher Shaq Barrett is currently playing under the parameters of a one-year contract. However, the former Denver Broncos linebacker has made the most of the opportunity given to him by the Buccaneers — and then some — as Barrett has now officially been named to this year's Pro Bowl.

As one would expect, Barrett was elated upon finding out that he would be playing among the league's best toward the end of the season.

“To make the Pro Bowl, it’s a dream come true,” Barrett recently said, via Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio. “That’s the best way I can sum it up. I dreamed of this growing up. It’s a huge honor and I can only hope that I’ll have more to follow.”
Prior to arriving in Tampa Bay ahead of the 2019-20 regular season, the 27-year-old Barrett spent his entire NFL career as a member of the aforementioned Broncos. The Broncos originally picked up the current Buccaneers standout as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State back in 2014.

Over the course of his 14 regular season appearances as a menber of the Buccaneers in 2019-20, Barrett has produced 50 total tackles, 16.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, one interception and two pass defenses. Entering the 2019-20 regular season, Barrett tallied a total of 14 career sacks during his four seasons as a member of the Broncos while he has certainly upped the ante this time around.
As it stands today, Barrett notably leads the entire NFL with just under 17 sacks on the season.
