Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians has confirmed that running back Leonard Fournette will play in the Week 15 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
Fournette was added to the Buccaneers’ injury report on Wednesday, as he back missed his first practice of the season due to an ankle injury. Arians noted on Wednesday that the feature back has been dealing with a sore ankle since Monday.
The Buccaneers remained conservative in their handling of Fournette's minor ankle issue, as he proceeded to miss the team's scheduled practice session on Thursday.
Fournette did make his return to practice on Friday, but he was a limited participant over the course of the session. The team elected to place an injury designation of questionable on him for the home clash with the Saints.
Still, Arians confirmed that Fournette will suit up for Week 15.

“He looked okay,” Arians said during a press conference on Friday. “He will play.”
Fournette is just coming off of the standout home performance against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14, where he recorded 113 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. Overall, he has tallied for 1,199 yards from scrimmage and 10 total touchdowns on the season. He has been a reliable offensive threat for the reigning Super Bowl champions, as he has featured in all 13 of their games so far in the campaign.
The Buccaneers come into the contest with the Saints with no major injury concerns on the offensive side of the ball. Both quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski were added to the injury report, but they each are expected to play against the Saints.
Tampa Bay needs a win this week to officially clinch the NFC South.
