Former Ole Miss Rebels wide receiver and 2019 NFL Draft prospect A.J. Brown has officially made his way to the grandest stage of them all in Nashville. Coming off the board to the Tennessee Titans on Thursday evening, Brown was notably selected with the No. 51 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

With Brown serving as one of the top overall talents in this year's NFL Draft class, he actually makes of half of quite the collegiate wide receiver duo as well as fellow Ole Miss alumni D.K. Metcalf has received just as much praise this spring.

“Slot bully with rare combination of brawn and quickness that allows him to separate with both power and foot quickness,” reads his 2019 NFL Draft profile on NFL.com. “Brown has the size and demeanor to take on a relatively heavy workload as a safety blanket for a young quarterback in a ball-control passing attack. He'll see an upgrade in athlete across from him, but he has the feet and body control to uncover and create windows as a premium route-runner.”

Slated to become an immediate impact player for the Titans, Brown operates best in the slot, though he has the ability to make plays down the field as well. Because of both his speed and ability to make plays up the middle of the field, Brown notably ran a sub-4.5 40-yard dash time at this year's NFL Scouting Combine, paired with 19 reps on the bench press.

It will certainly be interesting to see who develops into the better NFL player in the long run as both Brown and Metcalf could ultimately become Pro Bowl-caliber players for their respective franchises.
