After starting the season 2-4 and coming off a game against the Denver Broncos where they scored a total of zero points, things weren't looking too great for the Tennessee Titans. Fortunately, the team would make a switch at quarterback, finishing the season on a 7-3 run, eventually making it to the AFC Championship for the first time since 2002.
That late-season run didn't just come out of nowhere and certain players have to exceed expectations in order for that kind of success.
Duh. The former Miami Dolphins quarterback signed with Tennessee and was expected to be the backup behind incumbent starter Marcus Mariota. And while that's where he started the season, he certainly didn't end there.
In 10 regular-season starts, the 31-year-old quarterback completed an impressive 70.3 percent of his passes for 2,742 yards with 22 touchdowns and only six interceptions. Tannehill also added 185 yards and four TDs on the ground as well.
Tannehill also scored six total touchdowns with only one interception in the Titans' three playoff games. Under Tannehill, the Titans offense was completely rejuvenated and he deserves a lot of credit for that.
Derrick Henry was really good last season. The former Heisman winner had over 1,000 yards rushing yard and 12 touchdowns. This season, the 6-foot-4, 247-pound back has made his case to be the best player at his position in the NFL.
No one had more rushing touchdowns or yards than Henry in 2019 (16). He was an absolute workhorse for the Titans, carrying 303 times for 1,540 yards on over five YPC.

Harold Landry
A second-round pick in 2018, Harold Landry showed a lot of potential in his rookie season. This year, the 6-foot-2, 252-pound linebacker was named a full-time starter for the Titans. Landry took that opportunity and ran with it, becoming arguably the Titans best defensive player in 2019.
A speedy pass rusher, Landry recorded 68 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, a team-high nine sacks and one interception.
No other Titans player had more than five sacks this season and Landry's consistent pressure on the quarterback was essential for a Titans defense that ranked 12th in the NFL with 20.7 points allowed per game.
Landry should continue as a top pass rusher in the NFL as the former Boston College product is just 23 yards old.
