The Tennesse Titans were finally able to establish their running game down the final stretch of last year. It now seems running back Derrick Henry is expected to see an increase in production in the 2019 NFL season.
There is no question that Henry enjoyed a bit of a breakout year in 2018. ESPN is projecting some Pro Bowl numbers for him next season:

282 carries, 1,229 yards, 4.4 yards per carry, 11 touchdowns.
18 receptions, 137 yards, no touchdowns
The expected numbers are a heavy indicator of what to expect for Henry's role in the Titans' offense. The towering back had long been poised for a big year in Tennessee's run-heavy approach. The arrival of running back Dion Lewis somewhat delayed his emergence as the two split touches for most of the season. That was until Week 14 when Henry posted 238 yards and four touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
His dominant performance was highlighted by a historic 99-yard touchdown run that displayed his rare combination of speed and power all in one play. It was from that moment on that the Titans made Henry the clear-cut workhorse moving forward. It is safe to say that they are hoping he can keep that momentum going in 2019.
Judging by the projected numbers, the 25-year-old is looking to handle the bulk of the carries. Meanwhile, Lewis will continue to take on a change-of-pace role in passing situations thanks to his prowess as a receiver out of the backfield. The Titans will be relying heavily on the duo to fuel their offense while Henry looks to potentially make his first career Pro Bowl.
