As people wait for the long-awaited extensions for Julio Jones and Dak Prescott, we are getting a long snapper who is signing a multi-year deal. On Friday, the Tennessee Titans signed long snapper Beau Brinkley to a contract extension.

Brinkley was entering the final year of his current contract and was set to make $1.25 million in 2019. The details of the contract have yet to emerge, but it will keep the long snapper in Tennessee for years to come.

The veteran long snapper began his career with the Titans in 2012 and has been a dependable player for the franchise since. The 29-year-old has started in 112 straight regular-season games and he has also appeared in two playoff contests.

Along with his impressive streak of games played, Brinkley has been vital to the success of a few of the Titans' talented kickers and punters over the years. As a matter of fact, punter Brett Kern has credited Brinkley in helping him become the franchise's leader in gross punting average and net punting average.

Kern has been with the Titans since 2009 after spending his first season with the Denver Broncos. However, the veteran punter has made the first two Pro-Bowls of his career in the past two seasons.

Additionally, Brinkley has been the long snapper for kickers like Rob Bironas and Ryan Succop since 2012. Over that span, those kickers combined to make 85.6 percent of their field-goal attempts.

Entering his eighth season in the NFL, Brinkley is ready to have another successful campaign of snapping the ball, with slightly more money in his pocket.
