The Tennessee Titans are currently dealing with a COVID-19 scare. Head coach Mike Vrabel tested positive for the virus last Sunday and earlier on Thursday, it was announced that QB Ryan Tannehill was also heading to the IL due to COVID-19. Per Ben Arthur of The Tennesseean, who corrected Adam Schefter's initial report, a total of nine members of the organization in protocols:
According to source with direct knowledge of Titans' situation, this report is inaccurate. Team has seven players and two coaches — Vrabel and ST coordinator Craig Aukerman — in protocols, but they are not all for for positive tests https://t.co/qZpcPnbs1w

However, GM Dan Robinson made it clear that both Tannehill and Vrabel are vaccinated. Nonetheless, the COVID-19 antibodies still caused positive tests. It's unknown who else on the Titans has the virus, but Robinson did say that 97-98% of the franchise has been fully vaccinated.

With the Delta Variant ripping its way across the United States, there are positive cases popping up across the NFL still, vaxxed or not. It's definitely concerning though with the season just weeks away and the new rules that have been put in place, which state that a team would have to forfeit a game if there was an outbreak within their organization.
If you have the vaccine, it lowers the chance of death or severe symptoms, but unfortunately, it doesn't prevent the virus from being contracted. The Titans will need to get this situation under control before Week 1 on September 12th.
