The Tennessee Titans, the AFC's No. 6 seed, have pulled off two major upsets in this NFL postseason. First, they defeated the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Then, on Saturday, the No. 1 Baltimore Ravens with likely MVP Lamar Jackson turned into a pumpkin against Tennessee's engaged defense.
The Titans are just the third team since the AFL-NFL merger to topple the best scoring teams in offense and defense in the same postseason, according to ESPN.
The @Titans are the 3rd team since the 1970 merger to beat the No. 1 scoring offense (Ravens) and No. 1 scoring defense (Patriots) in the same postseason.

The Ravens were the best scoring offense in the league in 2019 while the Patriots were the best scoring defense. Some good news for Titans fans as the previous two teams to take down the top teams in each category were the 1988 San Francisco 49ers and 2004 New England Patriots—and both clubs went on to win the Super Bowl.
Tennessee is the most recent sixth seed to earn a trip to the conference championship game since the Rex Ryan's New York Jets did it in 2010. That team was quarterbacked by a sophomore Mark Sanchez, who took down the Patriots, too, in the postseason.
The Titans have been fueled by the impossibly strong rushing ability of fourth-year running back, and former Heisman Trophy winner, Derrick Henry, who recorded nearly 200 rushing yards against Baltimore this weekend. He also contributed a passing touchdown at the goal line in the divisional round, adding insult to injury to the distraught Ravens.
Tennessee will get a chance to reach Super Bowl LIV in Miami, Florida, should they beat the winner of Sunday's Kansas City Chiefs–Houston Texans tilt.
