The Tennessee Titans improve their offensive line depth re-signing Kevin Pamphile to a one-year deal according to Jim Wyatt of the Titans team website.

Pamphile signed with the Titans last year after playing the first four years of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Pamphile only played three games last year with the Titans starting two of them but the 6-5, 315 pounds lineman will add some much-needed depth. He suffered an injury week three against the Jacksonville Jaguars and that put him on the injured reserve.

Signing Pamphile is a good depth signing for the Titans because there were other teams that had interest in his services.

According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN, the Falcons had interest in his services and that made a lot of sense.  Dirk Koetter was the head coach of the Buccaneers when Pamphile was there, and the Falcons are in the market for some good cheap offensive lineman.

As the Falcons look to add bodies along the offensive line, keep an eye on Kevin Pamphile (6-5, 315). The offensive tackle started 31 games in Dirk Koetter’s system in Tampa, and there are whispers about the Falcons being interested in reuniting him with Koetter in Atlanta.

In the end, Pamphile decided he wanted to stay with the Titans and he should be a lock to make the roster.

Best case scenario for the Titans is that Pamphile is a backup who can fill in when players get injured but if he does have to start the season as a starter he has proven that is something he can do.
