The Washington Football Team has released quarterback Dwayne Haskins, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Haskins was in hot water after allegedly attending a strip club without a mask last weekend. Washington stated it would look into the incident, and the end result is apparently the dismissal of the former first-round pick.

Dwayne Haskins had attended the strip club following the team's Week 15 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The former Ohio State quarterback had been starting in place of the injured Alex Smith, but went 0-2 in Smith's stead.
John Keim of ESPN reported Washington was “reluctant” to suspend Haskins in light of the incident. Rather, the two sides will part ways.
Head coach Ron Rivera issued the following statement regarding Haskins' release:

So ends a rather calamitous tenure.
Dwayne Haskins went 3-10 as the starting quarterback. The 23-year-old began the 2020 season under center, but was eventually replaced by Kyle Allen after going 1-3 in the team's first two games.
Although Haskins had the opportunity to prove his quality when Smith went down, he struggled against Seattle, averaging just 5.36 yards gained per pass attempt and throwing a pair of interceptions. Haskins started again Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, completing just 14 of 28 passes for 154 yards while throwing two more picks and losing a fumble.
Now, Haskins will have to find employment elsewhere.
