Washington Football Team defensive end Ryan Kerrigan has requested a trade, but Washington has already told teams that it won't deal the star pass-rusher, a source told ESPN as written by Adam Schefter.

Earlier this year, the four-time Pro Bowler has openly expressed his desire to remain in the nation's capital for the long haul. A few months have passed and it looks like he previously had a change of mind which prompted him to request a trade from the team.

Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera wanted Ryan Kerrigan to be a mentor to their young guys up front but it seems like the veteran is looking to contribute and play out the remaining years of his career.

The former Purdue Boilermaker has been a mainstay with the organization ever since they selected him with the 16th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He has worked his way to be the Washington franchise's all-time sacks leader with 94 for his career along with a tally of four sacks this season.

The NFL trade deadline is set on November 3 at 4 p.m. ET, and Washington Football Team fans will see if their team will change their stance and be open to deal Ryan Kerrigan given the right suitors.
