Notre Dame football head coach Marcus Freeman hilariously called out his son's flag football team during his press conference on Monday. Freeman questioned some of Tim O'Malley's coaching decisions this past weekend. O'Malley also writes for Irish Illustrated, per ND Football Discord.

“Two trips to the red zone. Zero points. One play was a reverse pass that was intercepted in the red zone,” Marcus Freeman said. He asked Tim O'Malley for his thoughts on his play calling in the red zone.

O'Malley said the opponent's run defense held serve so he decided to run a pass play. He also conceded the elements and the poor field conditions were factors in their red zone miscues.

Marcus Freeman then called out O'Malley for allowing his son Nico to run with just one flag. The infraction negated his long run during the game. Nico Freeman should've worn two flags during the second-third grade championship game.

Tim O'Malley took responsibility for the flag fiasco. However, he also pointed out to Marcus Freeman one of his assistants could've also been at fault.

After Freeman hilariously grilled O'Malley, the Notre Dame football head coach congratulated the latter on his two championship wins last weekend.

Notre Dame is coming off a bye week. Their most previous win was a rousing 48-20 rout of arch rival USC football on October 14. Notre Dame football's defense forced USC quarterback Caleb Williams to throw three interceptions. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner took serious heat from a Notre Dame football fan for painting his nails after the game.

Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame will take on Pitt football on Saturday.
