Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray got credited for a buzzer-beating halfcourt trey against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Pepsi Center on Friday. He has OKC player Hamidou Diallo to thank for those extra three points.

The 23-year-old Canadian tried to beat the horn with a desperation heave in the closing seconds of the third period. While it appeared that his shot had no chance of going in, Diallo foolishly jumped at the rim in a bid to disrupt the ball from going through the basket.

The 2019 Slam Dunk Contest winner got called for basket interference, gifting Murray and the Nuggets another successful 3-point basket. Here's the Shaqtin' A Fool-worthy play. Thunder forward Mike Muscala's reactions says it all.

Hamidou Diallo's boneheaded play certainly cost the Thunder the win, as the Nuggets completed a mighty 97-95 comeback victory. That basket right there had huge ramifications given the razor-close final score. Jamal Murray was pivotal in Denver's second half uprising, torching OKC with 22 points, five boards, five assists, and two steals. He shot 8-of-19 from the field including three triples in 38 minutes of play.

Diallo, meanwhile, pitched in a strong effort of 16 points, four rebounds, two dimes, and three steals. However, that epic blunder certainly puts a dent in his impressive play against the Nuggets.
