Rudy Gobert is without a doubt one of the best shot-blockers in the NBA today. However, Michael Porter Jr. doesn't care. Or perhaps it is exactly for this reason why the Denver Nuggets star knew he had to finish strong with the Utah Jazz star contesting his dunk.

Here's a look at Porter putting the Utah Jazz big man on another poster (h/t Nuggets Twitter):

It looked like Rudy Gobert had his feet mixed up as he met Michael Porter Jr. in the lane. The Jazz center was a little bit late on his contest, which provided the Nuggets youngster with just the right amount of space to elevate for that emphatic slam.

Friday night's game was a marquee matchup for the Nuggets as they take on the best team in the NBA right now. Denver has already secured their spot in the playoffs, but they are still fighting for positioning right now.

Michael Porter Jr. knew exactly what was at stake, so he made sure to make his stamp on the game early on. And he did so excellently.
