Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic was recently asked who he thinks are the top five best players in the NBA. However, the question comes with a caveat, as Jokic was asked to name the top five aside from himself, via SPORTSRADIO 94WIP of Audacy.

“I think there is a lot of talent,” Jokic said. “I'm going to say Joel (Embiid), Luka (Doncic)… You gotta put KD (Kevin Durant) and LeBron (James) there. Even they're a little bit older but they can still perform.”

Jokic later added Stephen Curry to the list as well.

At the moment, it's difficult to refute the claim that anyone is better than Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets big man led Denver to the NBA Finals in the 2022-23 season, and he is one of the most consistent players in the league.

Jokic has made five consecutive All-Star teams and is already a two-time MVP award winner at just 28-years old. Joel Embiid won the NBA MVP last season, and Jokic and Embiid have emerged as the top players in the sport.

The Nuggets are performing well once again this season, and Jokic is making another MVP case for himself. He is averaging 26.4 points, 12.3 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game as of this story's writing. Additionally, Jokic is shooting 54.1 percent from the field.

Embiid is incredible and Doncic is in the midst of an MVP-caliber campaign as well. Of course, as Jokic stated, Durant, LeBron, and Curry are all still superstars. But what Jokic has done throughout his career is impressive to say the least.

Nikola Jokic will continue looking to lead the Nuggets to success as the 2023-24 season continues.
