Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic admitted he feels bad for what he did to Markieff Morris during Monday's game against the Miami Heat.

Late in the fourth quarter of the contest, Jokic shoved Morris with a shoulder into the back, causing the Heat forward to fall in pain. It came after Morris crashed on the Serbian mid-court for the intentional foul, but the Nuggets star didn't like the hard hit and retaliated.

Upon watching the replay of the incident, though, Jokic seemed to have realized he went overboard with his reaction. His emotions got the best of him and he answered back without thinking of the consequences.

“I don't know who showed me the clip but [Morris'] head snapped back. I felt really bad,” Jokic said, per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.

The officials slapped Nikola Jokic with unsportsmanlike technical foul, leading to his ejection. Meanwhile, Markieff Morris got a Flagrant 2 foul and saw himself thrown out as well. Jimmy Butler, who was fuming after the hard hit of the Nuggets star on his teammate, also received a technical foul.

It took some time for Morris to get back up after the hard hit. In fact, the Heat staff even brought out a stretcher as it seemed the veteran forward would be unable to stand. Fortunately, Morris was able to stand in his own power, though it was clear he was shaken.

While some would argue that Morris started it first with his hard it and Jokic just responded after a long night of the Heat being physical on him, the fact of the matter is there is simply no room for any kind of violence on the court–especially those that could injure others and risk their careers.
