The Denver Nuggets spared no mercy for the struggling Detroit Pistons. Michael Malone did not want his squad to be the team that lost to one of the most historically bad ensembles in league history. Nikola Jokic, on the other hand, knew that it was not going to happen in any way, shape, or form. This is why he took a step back and let his teammates take over against Monty Williams' team.

Nikola Jokic was just not feeling it against the Pistons. He could be scoring at will but was not. The Serbian king of basketball may have even taken his foot off the pedal completely. Specifically, after he just scored four points against the Pistons. Michael Malone still wanted him to exert some effort which led to the Nuggets' superstar dropping 16 dimes. All of this happened while he still grabbed seven rebounds.

Nuggets fans and Nikola Jokic's hilarious production

This made a lot of Nuggets fans cackle, “The Jokic stat line tonight is an all-timer. This Pistons team might be the most hilarious of all time.”

Some Pistons fans also could not help but mope. This was after they were not taken seriously, “The league doesn’t even respect the Pistons…Jokic shot the ball 3 times and the Nuggets still won by 17 points.”

What the Nuggets star lacked in scoring, he more than made up for on the defensive side of the ball. He had a total of five blocks on a squad that looked lost without Cade Cunningham. Members of the Pistons faithful even took notice, “What do you mean Nikola Jokic had more blocks than points against the Pistons.”

Sentiments that point out Nikola Jokic's lack of caring in this matchup went wild, “Man Jokic decides when he wants to play. He took only three shots and realized that the Pistons were not worth it.”

However, there is one idea that resonates regardless of the humor and disrespect to Monty Williams' squad, “One of the oddest lines I've ever seen. Jokic‘s brilliance defies description.”

It was Jamal Murray's night to decimate an opposing team that went in the way of the Nuggets. Their MVP just so happens to be willing and understanding of the team dynamics which is probably why his stat line ended that way.
