If the Jacksonville Jaguars allow Allen Robinson to test free agency, they may find that their star wide receiver is going to have plenty of suitors. There isn’t a team in the league that would turn him away. One of the many teams that will likely want to meet with him and could be an intriguing option for him is the Oakland Raiders.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport seems to think the Raiders could have an edge on the competition:

It is not hard to imagine Robinson wanting to play with Olson once again. Back when Olson was the offensive coordinator in Jacksonville (2015-2016), Robinson blew up. He had 80 receptions for 1400 yards and 22 touchdowns during the ’15 season.

But during the ’16 season, hey slipped quite a bit (73 receptions for 883 yards and six touchdowns). However, he is not likely going to be faulted by many for the dip in production. Most of the blame will rest on his quarterback's shoulders (Blake Bortles).

Robinson will be coming off an ACL injury (torn in Week 1 last season). But since he tore it so early in the year, he will likely be ready in time for the 2018 season. However, it wouldn’t be shocking if the market for him starts slowly due to fear of his injury. But the free agent market is going to be thin at wide receiver this year.

So, the market on Robinson may not be too slow despite his ACL.

If it does, Jon Gruden needs to strike. Everyone in Raider Nation loves him—for now. But if he doesn’t put a better product on the field within the first few games, the masses will turn on him quick. He needs to put some better players around QB Derek Carr if he wants to keep that from happening.
