Not a lot has been heard from O.J. Mayo since last year. Recently, some reports even surfaced that he is missing and that his close friends do not know his whereabouts these days. However, the 29-year-old himself quickly ended the rumors, as he made it known that he is still working hard to keep in shape.

Mayo took to his Instagram account and posted a picture of him inside a gym being stretched by a trainer. He placed a caption stating that he is not hard to find and implied that he is being orderly, and not having any substance abuse.

His former college teammate and newly-acquired Minnesota Timberwolves forward Taj Gibson also posted a photo of them working out together, and captioned that he misses the good old times he used to spend with Mayo.

It can be recalled that the USC product received a ban from the NBA in July of 2016 stemming from a drug violation. It will keep him out of the league until, at least, 2018, before he will be eligible for reinstatement.

Mayo last played for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2015-16 campaign and appeared for them in 41 games. He made a name for himself during his career as a good shooter and on-ball defender, with averages of 13.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.0 steal per game in eight seasons in the league. If he can stay off any illegal substances, and stay in-shape, he might generate some interest from teams looking for a veteran who is not afraid to take big shots, as well as defend some of the better shooting guards in the NBA today.

For now, he needs to prove that he can stay healthy, and wait until next year before he can appeal the ban given to him. The good news for his fans though, is he has made it known that he is not in any trouble now.
