The new dimensions in left field at Camden Yards have not received rave reviews from hitters. New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge, who hit two home runs in Tuesday night's 5-4 win over the Orioles, almost had a third dinger had it not been for the left-field wall being 30-feet deeper and 5-feet higher than it was last season. Judge's shot would have been a home run in all 29 other MLB ballparks, and he described the adjustments made to Camden Yards as being a “travesty.”

Orioles' slugger Trey Mancini caught wind of Judge's comments, reacting to them on Wednesday. Surprisingly, Mancini shared Judge's sentiments regarding the changes to the wall in left field, admitting that it wasn't the first time he'd heard batters complaining about it.

“Nobody likes it. No hitters like it, myself included.” Mancini said, via the Baltimore Sun. “There’s nothing we can do to change it. It’s nothing you can be thinking about when you’re up at the plate. But it doesn’t make it any less tough when you hit a ball that you think should definitely be a homer.”

Aaron Boone was also frustrated by the updated dimensions of the Orioles' ballpark, which he compared to being like a video game's “create-a-park” mode.

While pitchers are probably on board with the added protection in the outfield they get while throwing at the notoriously hitter-friendly Camden Yards, batters are already dealing with the consequences of the alterations made. Judge and the Yankees aren't the first and definitely won't be the last to share their displeasure over the new left-field wall at the Orioles' Camden Yards.
