The Green Bay Packers have just started the interview process for whom they will name their new head coach. Though not many names have surfaced, speculation has begun to who would be a perfect fit.

The Packers may have in their hands the perfect coaching candidate for their quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The 42-year-old quarterback whisperer Josh McDaniels has worked closely with Tom Brady over a decade and a half. Excluding his two-year stint as the Broncos' head coach in 2009-10 and one year afterward as the Rams' offensive coordinator in 2011. McDaniels is 11-17 in his stint as an NFL head coach with the Denver Broncos.

He would be a great candidate for Green Bay because of his ability to deal with big-time quarterbacks as he has with Brady for a very long time. The organization desires to bring in somebody who Rodgers would prefer to play under. This could cause them to go after McDaniels or a host of other offensive coordinators across the league.

Rapoport has also reported that Joe Philbin, the Packers’ interim head coach, has little-to-none chance of receiving the job. Given the issues the team has had all year, it's not much of a shock. Green Bay is reportedly looking into a group of 10-12 candidates for the job. Only time will tell who will make their short-list for the position.

The Packers are 6-8-1 on the season and sit 4th in the NFL's NFC North Division. They will face off against the Detroit Lions in Week 17 at home in their final game of the season.
