Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner has been ruled out of the team's next two games after being diagnosed with a concussion and a sore neck, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated. The team will re-evaluate him after Friday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers and Saturday night's matchup with the Miami Heat once his symptoms have resolved, going through the NBA's concussion protocol before seeing the floor once again.

Turner managed a hefty double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds through his 34 minutes on the court in a shootout against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, throwing in four blocks for good measure.

He was hit on a cross screen, according to his coach Nate McMillan, but played through the remainder of the game with only light symptoms, becoming unnoticeable to the medical staff.

With Turner out, new addition Domantas Sabonis will get the start at center next to Thaddeus Young throughout this weekend, waiting for a stable recovery timetable for the young cornerstone of the franchise.

Turner will be used as the primary scoring option this season after Paul George's departure, as new president Kevin Pritchard has put his eggs in the third-year player's basket, hopeful he'll be the next star player of this franchise.
