Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner has learned to turn the other cheek in terms of dealing with his detractors over the years. The 24-year-old elite rim protector dealt with another unruly fan recently, who insisted to ask for a $100 Venmo request to Turner thrice, in the wake of Indy's shocking 120-112 loss to the Chicago Bulls earlier this week.

The disgruntled fan was unfairly blaming Turner for the upset and claimed that he owes him money. Turner did struggle in that game, posting just 11 points and six rebounds, but he did record six rejections.

Per Erick Woodyard of ESPN, the Pacers talented admitted that the old him would probably snap at that stranger, but he no longer allows negativity to bring him down as he matured.

“I'm finally at a point in my career where I can laugh at stuff like that,”Myles Turner said. “My first couple years in the league, I would've took offense to it. I would've been mad, I would've wanted to say something back, but I've been dealing with this for the past two or three years. I can have a great game, I can have a bad game, they love you and they hate you.”

Turner eventually turned that upsetting fan request into something positive. He initially responded by sending one cent to the person as a penny for his thoughts. That response quickly grew viral and random people began sending money to the Pacers center's account.

The league's leading shot-blocker said he has already received around $3,500, which he will match and donate to those affected by the power outage in his home state of Texas.

While it's nice to see Myles Turner grow as an individual, his good-natured approach has also paid dividends in his improvement as a basketball player. After being labeled a bust by some pundits and figuring in several trade rumors since last year, the former Texas Longhorn has become the ultimate anchor for the Pacers this season. Turner is a frontrunner for the Defensive Player of the Year award, notching 13.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks in 27 games.
