Now playing for a third franchise in three seasons, Victor Oladipo is looking to be a mainstay with his new team, the Indiana Pacers. He is hoping he has found his niche, as he can be an integral part of their future plans, and not be traded once again.

The 25-year-old is no stranger to Indianapolis, as he also suited up for the Hoosiers during his days in the NCAA. He has been playing at a high level since the start of the season, and has helped the team get back to .500 on Sunday by completing an upset against the heavily favored San Antonio Spurs. Oladipo even hit the go-ahead three-pointer, which gave the Pacers the lead for good.

After hitting the clutch basket with less than 10 seconds to go, the 6-foot-4 guard made it known how much the city means to him. He gestured by pointing to the floor and uttering the words “this is my city,” telling the Indy faithful that he is ready to be their team's franchise player moving forward.

Oladipo is staying true to his words, as he has been on fire in this young campaign. Through six games so far, he is averaging career-high numbers of 25.5 points and 1.8 steals, to go along with 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 31.3 minutes per game. More importantly, he has given the Pacers a go-to-guy despite Paul George not being part of the team anymore.

If he continues playing at this pace throughout the season, he could establish himself as a future big star in the league. He will also help the Pacers to possibly compete for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, even if they are currently in rebuild mode.
