Victor Oladipo and the Indiana Pacers opened their 2018-19 NBA season on Wednesday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse against the Memphis Grizzlies. Coming into the season, the Pacers are viewed as one of the teams that could make some noise in the Eastern Conference. They did not disappoint their fans or those who think they could compete with the Boston Celtics.

Indiana ended up blowing the Grizzlies out by a final score of 111-83. It was a game that showed the Pacers' improvement from last season, and they even broke their franchise record for largest win margin in a season opener.

Following the big win, Oladipo was asked about the play of the team, especially the second unit. As shared by FOX Sports Indiana, Oladipo believes the Pacers have a chance to be very special:

Taking a closer look at the second unit, the Indiana has to be excited about what general manager Kevin Pritchard was able to put together.

Tyreke Evans was the Pacers' key addition. He scored 14 points in his debut with Indiana, while also dishing out six assists and grabbing four rebounds. Doug McDermott, the other key signing, scored 12 points on the night.

Domantas Sabonis showed off all the hard work he put in this offseason as well. He scored 14 points on 7-for-11 shooting and grabbed 15 rebounds. Cory Joseph also had a big game for the Pacers with 11 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

If the Pacers' bench continues playing like they did in the season opener, they are going to be tough to beat.

Oladipo scored 16 points on the night, while also chipping in five rebounds and five assists. It was clear that his main goal was to get his teammates involved. His scoring will improve moving forward, but becoming a better playmaker was a big key for Oladipo to take another big step forward.

Expect to see the Pacers live up to the hype and expectations that have been set for them this season. They have improved their roster from last season, and it showed against Memphis.
