The Indiana Pacers are reportedly mulling big roster changes, with star big man Domantas Sabonis a candidate to be traded. Caris LeVert and Myles Turner are other notable names on the trading block, though The Athletic's Shams Charania reports the Pacers likely wouldn't trade both Sabonis and Turner.

Given Sabonis is Indiana's best player, Charania notes that there's expected to be a lot of trade interest. While there's no reporting on current trade discussions, Shams reports the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings as teams with interest in recent years.

The Kings still make some sense here as a Sabonis destination. They're a team looking to make a splash after a sluggish start to the season resulted in the firing of head coach Luke Walton. Sacramento has the longest playoff drought in the NBA and simply needs more talent on the roster. Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley III, among others, have been involved in trade rumors, though perhaps something bigger is done involving star De'Aaron Fox.

The Suns mention is interesting. It's unclear just when exactly Phoenix showed interest in the Pacers star. There's a good chance it came before they went on a run to the NBA Finals and then started this season as a juggernaut. While Sabonis is good, would Phoenix really shake things up that drastically to bring him in? It seems unlikely at this point, but never say never in the NBA.

Either way, the Pacers will surely want plenty in return for the two-time All-Star. Sabonis is currently averaging 18.2 points, 11.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists while shooting 58.4% from the field in 2021-22, but his usage is down a bit for the 12-16 Pacers. The big man just won Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
