The Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings agreed to a blockbuster trade involving Kings guard Tyrese Haliburton and Pacers forward Domantas Sabonis. The deal is potentially promising for both team’s futures, but Indiana may have been accomplishing more than just acquiring a talented young player like Haliburton. This is the impact of the Sabonis-Haliburton trade on center Myles Turner, according to the latest Pacers rumors, via ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski is saying that the Domantas Sabonis-Tyrese Haliburton trade is likely to have a significant impact on the future of center Myles Turner. Not only does Turner get to play his natural position of center now, but he is also “thrilled” by the idea of playing with the young Kings guard, according to the Pacers rumors.
It certainly makes sense for Turner to want to stay in Indiana, given that he and Sabonis were a shaky fit together. However, it might make even more sense for the Pacers to keep Turner with an eye towards a big three of the future with Haliburton, Chris Duarte and the 25-year-old center.
The Pacers-Kings blockbuster trade involving Domantas Sabonis and Tyrese Haliburton may not have changed the futures of just those players in the deal.
It may have also changed the future of Pacers center Myles Turner.
