Green Bay Packers star running back Aaron Jones is diving right into the cryptocurrency world and will have his compensation paid in cryptocurrency.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jones is linking up with FTX, a leading crypto exchange.

Jones is just the latest athlete to dive into the cryptocurrency game as it's become a more popular trend.

As Schefter notes, the Packers running back purchased an equity stake in the company after announcing the long term partnership with FTX.

On their company site, FTX explains their mission in the following way:

FTX.US is a brand new US-regulated cryptocurrency exchange, built from the ground up. Our mission is for FTX.US to grow the digital currency ecosystem, offer US traders a platform that inspires their loyalty, and become a market leading US cryptocurrency exchange over the next two years.

On the field, Jones has been phenomenal for the Packers this year as he's carved out five touchdowns in three games so far for Green Bay as the lead back on the offense.

There was some doubt in the offseason as to whether or not Jones would be returning to the Packers as he was set to hit free agency and Green Bay had little cap space to navigate with. Thankfully for both parties, Jones is back in Green Bay and flourishing yet again in Matt LaFleur's offense.
