Aaron Rodgers nearly emerged as the hero yet again for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Unfortunately for him, his game-tying 75-yard touchdown late in the contest was erased by a last-second field goal by the Vikings. Minnesota came out on top, 34-31, in what was a truly engaging encounter by these two sides.

After the game, Rodgers revealed that the toe injury that he had been playing through is actually in pretty bad shape. According to the Packers QB, he aggravated the injury in the first half, and that he was in considerable pain throughout (h/t Bill Huber of SI.com):

Aside from the fact that he's going to be skipping much of this week's practice sessions, the Packers star is now also eagerly anticipating Green Bay's upcoming bye week:

The Packers, who are now 8-3, return to action on Sunday to face off against the Los Angeles Rams. At this point, it doesn't sound like Rodgers is in danger of being forced to sit that matchup out, but right now, nothing is set in stone.

Green Bay gets their bye in Week 13 and it is clear that Aaron Rodgers is very much looking forward to that right now.
