There had been some talk about a rift already between Aaron Rodgers and Matt LaFleur, but the Green Bay Packers quarterback seems to be brushing those aside with his latest comments. Rodgers was a guest on Chris Simms Unbuttoned show and said that he excited about working in the new offense and is completely embracing the change.

“I am excited about it,” Rodgers said. “The most important thing with change is to embrace it. Being comfortable with the uncomfortable parts of it. When you've been in a system for so long, you have a way of doing things. The first part is being open to [change].”

Rodgers also re-echoed the comments he said earlier this off-season that he is excited to be coached again.

“That's what I told [LaFleur] day one. I said, ‘I wanna be coached.'”

Rodgers did a lot of studying of the offense that LaFleur used, and the one thing he noticed is just how well it works.

“The scheme works,” Rodgers said. “The stuff they did against us this year against San Fran was unbelievable. We were watching on the sidelines going, ‘That's pretty cool.'”

Rodgers, of course, could be just trying to say the right thing but he has never really been one to do that, so it's good that he and LaFleur on the same page. Just the two guys being on the same page will help improve the offense, and if this team wants to get back to the playoffs, it's going to be because the offense is strong.
