During the loss to the Detroit Lions last week, Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered what he referred to as a setback with the knee he injured back in Week 1. This is obviously not good news for a Packers team that has been struggling to get back to form as a legitimate playoff contender.

As a result of the setback, Rodgers may have to go back to wearing a knee brace that he's not entirely fond of as it limits his mobility while on the gridiron. The perennial Pro Bowler talked about the prospect of having to possibly wear what could take away a vital part of his game, via ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

“I hope not,” Rodgers said. “The goal would be to wear the same brace I wore last week, but I have a lot of faith in our training staff and we're going to [use] the brace we feel is most safe and allowing me to do exactly what I'm able to do on Monday.”

At 2-2-1, the Packers haven't been the dominant force the team hoped they'd be with Rodgers back in the fold after missing the majority of last season due to injury. Every game from here on out will be crucial for Green Bay, especially with the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears being serious contenders for the NFC North crown.

However, whenever the Packers have Rodgers under center they are a force to be reckoned with. He may be battling the knee injury which will likely bother him the rest of the season.
