Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not play in this weekend's game against the Kansas City Chiefs because of a positive COVID-19 test. Rodgers is unvaccinated, and there was plenty of hubbub surrounding his vaccination status because of comments he made before the season. The Packers quarterback said he was āimmunizedā against COVID-19 when asked about being vaccinated, but everybody assumed he meant he was indeed vaccinated.
Rodgers came under criticism for all this, leading to him breaking his silence on the matter during his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. What followed was an incredible deluge of COVID galaxy braining, misinformation and general anti-vaxxer nonsense.
For a simple recap:
This Aaron Rodgers speech is the entire board of anti-vaxxer Bingo:
Woke mob
Cancel culture
Doing your own research
My body my choice
Vaccinated people getting COVID
Joe Rogan

So Rodgers has used the following words:
*Woke mob
*Cancel culture
*Coercion
*Collusion
*Shaming
*Bodily autonomy is a rightHe said he's taking Ivermectin, zinc and monoclonal treatments and has been talking with @joerogan
(These are just facts, not judgements from me)

There truly is a whole lot to take in here, and it started off with some real bangers about the āwoke mobā and ācancel cultureā and all that:
Rodgers says he's a "critical thinker" and doesn't believe in giving in to "woke culture," rather making choices that are best for his body.
Rodgers says he had an allergy to an ingredient in Moderna and Pfizer, so J&J was the only option. Then he mentions J&J clotting issues.

Aaron Rodgers to Pat McAfee just now: "I realize I'm in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now so before my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket, I'd like to set the record straight on so many of the blatant lies out there."
ā Jimmy Traina (@JimmyTraina) November 5, 2021
The ācancel culture casketā is a new one. Honestly almost have to give props for that one.
The Packers quarterback also claimed he was worried about sterility issues from the vaccine, which is not a thing:
Rodgers says the next significant step in his life is becoming a father, and that was consideration when determining whether or not to get vaccinated.
Rodgers adds the Packers and teammates knew of his vaccination status all along.
ā Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) November 5, 2021
Aaron Rodgers is flat-out lying.
1.If he had an allergy to the vaccine the NFL would have granted his request for a medical exemption.
2.Experts say there is no "mechanism" to connect vaccines to fertility issues. It's a myth.
It is anti-vaxxer BS. https://t.co/rBnJLWl2Cd

Rodgers also came under fire for potentially breaking protocols as an unvaccinated player, which he admitted to doing, but then he also criticized the protocol.
Then we have some more real winners, plus the championing of Joe Rogan:
More from Rodgers:
"This idea that it's the pandemic of the unvaccinated, it's a just a total lie"
"If the vaccine is so great, then how come people are still getting covid and spreading covid?"
ā Computer Cowboy (@benbbaldwin) November 5, 2021
HE JUST SAID HE'S BEEN TAKING IVERMECTIN
ā Computer Cowboy (@benbbaldwin) November 5, 2021
Rodgers keeps emphasizing that he probably caught covid from someone who was vaccinated. This seems very important to him
ā Computer Cowboy (@benbbaldwin) November 5, 2021
The Packers QB also brought up some wild stuff about the vaccine, Donald Trump and Joe Biden before then hating on both sides of the political coin:

"I'm a non-vaxxed person, so the right is gonna champion me, and the left is gonna cancel me, but the whole time, I don't give a shit about either of them [ā¦] the only desire I have is to empower people out there to take autonomy over their body"
ā Computer Cowboy (@benbbaldwin) November 5, 2021
The cherry on top was invoking Martin Luther King Jr. in egregious fashion:
Here is one more, with video.

So, uh, yeah, this was a major trip. It had been reported that Rodgers petitioned the NFL for an āalternative treatmentā he got to count as being vaccinated, but the Packers star was denied. Basically:
Aaron Rodgers just said he presented his research to the NFL. "They thought I was a quack."
ā Steve Popper (@StevePopper) November 5, 2021
There will surely be plenty of fallout from this absolutely bonkers appearance. Here's a longer clip of the interview:
"I'm not an anti-vaxx, flat-earther.. I have an allergy to an ingredient that's in the mRNA vaccines. I found a long term immunization protocol to protect myself & I'm very proud of the research that went into that" ~@AaronRodgers12#PatMcAfeeShowLIVE pic.twitter.com/FDMmI5rZmO
ā Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) November 5, 2021
Whew.
