The Green Bay Packers are riding high this year. They're 4-1 now after dominating the Dallas Cowboys for the heavy majority of their Week 5 matchup.

Not everything is going their way though. One issue may have popped up on Tuesday, when starting safety Darnell Savage was seen in a walking boot in the locker room on Tuesday.

It's too early to know exactly what's going on in this situation. It could simply be precautionary. Maybe Savage was having a little discomfort in his left foot. The team felt it would be best to take as much pressure off it as possible.

However, it could be something much more sinister.

Savage has been a big part of the surprisingly fantastic Green Bay defense. They have given up 376.8 yards per game. That's a lot and is near the worst in the NFL. However, they have only allowed 18.6 points per game, which is eighth in the league.

Savage has definitely played his role. He has 18 tackles on the year, picking up one forced fumble, one interception, and three pass deflections so far.

The 2019 first-round pick has been as good as advertised. He has helped to turn the defense into a serious threat and will only get better as he gets more experience.

For now though, the Packers have to worry about their matchup with the 2-1-1 Detroit Lions. A tough divisional matchup that they will want to have all hands on deck for.

Due to that, expect to hear a lot about Savage in the upcoming days. This is a situation that should and will be monitored closely. Hopefully the news is positive.
