The 2018 campaign has been a disappointing one for the Green Bay Packers, but wide receiver Davante Adams might end up earning some personal milestones out of it.

Adams is just 13 catches away from breaking Sterling Sharpe's single-season Packers record of 112 and 205 receiving yards away from topping Jordy Nelson's franchise record of 1,519.

The 25-year-old played it cool when asked about the records, according to Mike Spofford of the Packers' official team website:

“I’m not counting, but that would be cool,” Adams said of the milestones. “Hopefully A-Rod’s counting. We’ll see.”

Adams was also named to the Pro Bowl for the second straight year, but this time, he was voted in rather than being selected as an injury reserve.

“I looked at the fan vote before, and they said I would have been an alternate then,” Adams said. “To get the players’ and coaches’ input and be bumped up, it means a lot to me.”

Adams, who played his collegiate football at Fresno State University, was originally selected by Green Bay in the second round (53rd pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He played in all 16 games during his rookie campaign, finishing with 38 catches for 446 yards and three touchdowns.

Adams didn't really break out until his third season when he hauled in 75 receptions for 997 yards and 12 scores.

In addition to his catch and yardage totals this year, Adams has also reached the end zone 12 times.

The Packers are 5-8-1 and have been eliminated from playoff contention. They will head on the road to battle the New York Jets this Sunday.
