As the Green Bay Packers prepare for their upcoming game against the Oakland Raiders, they’ll be without their top wide receiver once again. According to Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, superstar receiver Davante Adams will miss Sunday's game as he continues to recover from a turf toe injury:

Adams suffered the injury late in the Packers' Week 4 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, and he hasn’t played in any game since. The injury to Adams was thought to have not been severe, but according to Adams himself, it seems to have not healed as fast as many thought. Until it's ready to be played on, he'll continue to sit out. While the Packers have managed to come away with two wins in that time, they’ve done so with a makeshift cast of weapons at wide receiver, and will likely be doing so once again.

According to LaFleur, not only is Adams out, but Green Bay's two other reliable wide receivers, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison, are question marks. Should all three be deemed out, it would leave the Packers with a group of receivers including Jake Kumerow, Allen Lazard, and Darrius Shepherd. Green Bay also just signed Ryan Grant.

While the Packers have been able to stay afloat without Adams, the team would still benefit from looking to add to the wide receiver department. In the meantime, Green Bay will attempt to move to 6-1 behind a stellar defensive unit, and the surprisingly solid play from running backs Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams.
