A lot of people around the Green Bay Packers organization are excited about the hiring of Matt LaFleur as the teams next head but former tight end Jermichael Finley thinks that LaFleur might have some of the same issues that Mike McCarthy had while dealing with Aaron Rodgers.

Finley was recently on the Bill Michaels Sports Talk Network (via 247 Sports) and was asked if he thinks Rodgers is a coachable player.

“He’s coachable to a point,” Finley said of Rodgers “Once you try to overcoach him, that’s when he’s going to do his own thing. With (former coach Mike) McCarthy, McCarthy used to call a play and Aaron would look at him and (then) it’s a whole different play.”

“And we just ran the play that No. 12 called. Sorry. And I think it's going to be a lot worse with a young guy (LaFleur) and with where Aaron’s at in his career. He’s an icon of the NFL.”

It will be a storyline to watch to see if how Rodgers and LaFleur work together but if Rodgers doesn't listen to coaching it could become a real issue.

LaFleur didn't seem to think there would be an issue between him and Rodgers when asked after he was hired and actually said that he had talked to Rodgers and the two were excited to work together.

The most important thing for these two is they start to win football games for the Green and Gold. The Packers are right in the middle of Rodgers prime, and it's important that they try to secure another Super Bowl title.
