The Green Bay Packers have are out to a bit a sluggish start out of the gate offensively this, but the return of Geronimo Allison should help them improve.

Allison checked out of the concussion protocol on Thursday that has him now working making his way back from a hamstring injury.

This is an encouraging step forward as he had missed last Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions due to injury, which marked the first time this season that has missed action. Allison has proven to be a reliable asset in the passing game for Aaron Rodgers to turn to as he has 19 catches for 289 receiving yards and two touchdowns in four games played. This includes notching more than 60 receiving yards in each contest while posting at least five catches three times.

Although he still has to prove that he's passed his hamstring issues, this is a step forward in his recovery as he will have the next few days of practice to demonstrate that the issue is no longer hampering him on the field. The Packers have struggled to find consistency in the passing game and Allison has been one of those lone players that have provided just that this year as he has stepped into a more prominent role after the departure of Jordy Nelson that has elevated him to be hird top target behind Randall Cobb and DaVante Adams.

The Packers have been a bit battered up at the wide receiver position with Geronimo Allison and Randall Cobb dealing with injuries that have kept them out of the lineup. If Allison is unable to show enough to warrant him being cleared to return, the team will likely turn to both  Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown to be factors in the passing game as the two combined for 10 catches for 157 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Lions.
